Chloe Fall/Winter 2018/19 FIRST LOOK | Paris Fashion Week |
PARIS - FashionTV has your inside look at Chloe Fall/Winter 2012-2013, where models like Jacquelyn Jablonski and Mirte Maas are getting their hair and makeup done for the show at Paris Fashion Week.
Makeup Artist Aaron de Mey says Chloe was inspired by the work of photographer Corinne Day, like Kate Moss as a teenager. He also targeted kids at music festivals and Parisian women on the street that have no makeup and a fresh look. He used brow pencil to exaggerate the eyebrow for power and made the cheekbones dewy. The lips were a soft peach color and skin was fresh. "The makeup this season was about a real clean sense of beauty, but quite strong brows," adds designer Clare Waight Keller.
Hairstylist Paul Hanlon says the hair was "this kind of idea of a girl on the street, very beautiful hair, not too much product. Very airy, light." There was a center part but it was effortless.
Designer Waight Keller says the real strong point of the collection was the outerwear. She described it as "very enveloping, like a blanket." The powdery color made something pretty about having a huge coat, she said. "I love Chloe," adds model Jacquelyn Jablonski, "It has the kind of feminine, but also boyish sometimes twist to it." Ken Downing from Neiman Marcus notes the quilting throughout the collection and the easy jogging pant that transitions to daywear on the street. Also noted, those reapplied flowers from those cut lace pieces with a pearl in the center.
