Emilio Pucci Spring 2012 at Milan Fashion Week MFW |
MILAN - FashionTV has your first look at the Emilio Pucci show as models like Daphne Groeneveld, Aymeline Valade, and Ginta Lapina are getting their hair and makeup done. "It's very gypsy inspired, very clean," says Makeup Artist Lisa Butler of the makeup for this Spring/Summer 2012 collection at Milan Fashion Week. Pucci designer Peter Dundas is also backstage overseeing everything. "The hair is like gypsy couture," says hairstylist Luigi Murenu, who notes the dry texture and very chic low ponytail. "It has an elegance like no one else. That's why I call it gypsy couture." Adds designer Peter Dundas, who's in his 3rd year at Pucci, "I wanted to express heat. I wanted something that was more Southern, more colorful. I wanted to play with the prints. I wanted to play on the masculine vs feminine. And they became my gypsies." Daughter of Emilio, Laudomia Pucci says, "What I think we all love and what we want to see is the craftsmanship in this collection." Peter Dundas gets sexy women, says fans like Vogue Japan's Anna Dello Russo and Nicole Phelps from Style.com. Any woman has a bit of gypsy of her, says Dundas!
